Welcome, Wine Vixen Newbies!

By J.T. and Amy

Hello, world! And welcome to The Wine Vixen. We're excited to have an onslaught of new followers, and we invite you to pull up a chair, and we'll pour you a glass. Because that's how we roll.

For those of you who don't know who we are, allow us to tell you a little bit about ourselves:

J.T. Ellison

J.T. (@Thrillerchick) is a New York Times bestselling author, and Amy is her trusty sidekick. We both love wine.

Over a decade ago, J.T. began giving a weekly wine recommendation on the award-winning blog Murderati. Resurrecting this tradition, these wines, along with new finds, some travelogues, and memes to make you laugh, are what we give you day in and day out on The Wine Vixen.

J.T. has degrees in English and Politics, and her day job is writing psychological thrillers. She loves good wine, and loves finding bargains even more. She’s a life-long wine aficionado—okay, since she was legal—okay, maybe even a bit before that—and travels the world (and her own backyard) in search of excellent, affordable wines. She is Italian (and Scots) by heritage, but enjoys wines from all countries, and all varietals. Fine, not ALL. But most.

Amy Kerr

Amy also has a degree in English—and in French, though the latter was more aspirational than anything else. Her publishing and marketing consultant gigs (literally) feed her two passions: good books and great food and wine. She’s the yin to J.T.’s yang, as she prefers white wine over red. Amy is also proud that she no longer calls Moscato her favorite form of vino, only because it closely resembles Welch’s grape juice.

There you have it, folks. We like wine, pretty things, good books, and lots of food (oh, do we like food!). If you have suggestions for wine we should try, recipes to pair with our suggestions, or places we should visit, let us know! Here's where you can find us:

This is a haven for oenophiles, friend; you are welcome here. Cheers!
