Reindeer Balls (Cream Cheese Balls with Chipped Beef)

This was one of my favorite treats growing up. I haven’t had it in years, and when my brother and I were going over some old recipes, I asked if he had this one, and sure enough, he did. Most online recipes make it into a large cheese ball, but we always rolled small ones so you could pop open the refrigerator and grab one as a snack. The prep can get sticky, so wet your hands before you start rolling. These are perfect for parties, too. Enjoy!

Ingredients

• 1 large bar Cream Cheese

• 2 Tablespoons Sour Cream

• 1 Tablespoon grated onion

• 2 small jars dried chipped beef

Directions

• Mix Cream cheese, sour cream, and onion until blended

• Chop dried chip beef so it’s fine

• Roll small balls of cheese mixture in the dried beef with a spoon

  • Wet hands and use if necessary

• Served chilled

If you need a vegetarian option, rolling in nuts or chopped cranberries is also delicious.
